I’ve been wanting to talk to you about something. Listen, keep yourself from “the crowd.” There is an ungodly bunch of people out there, and they seem to be the “movers and shakers” of everything popular, but really they are living a life of chaos and filth. Their end is destruction — and you don’t need to end up like them. The Bible talks about “saving yourself” from a perverted generation; well that is what I am talking about. Save yourself from their ugly lifestyle and from their impending punishment.
What you want is a life of stability and order. Don’t waste your time on selfish pleasures. Let others run after empty dreams; but you: stick with the path of righteousness and you will find prosperity and peace. Everyone talks about peace, but you will be the one to find it.
Listen to me, my friend. God has called you. He has chosen you to be different, to be excellent. Chase after His ways. Search for the wisdom and truth that can only be found in Jesus – and believe me, you will find both Christ and His wisdom. Don’t think that God’s blessings are going to fall in your lap like a free coupon. You have to dig for them like the old miners had to dig for gold and silver, but it is well worth it in the end.
I want the best for you. I want you to make it in life, not just struggle along. Take my advice. It is good and it is godly.
