The real secret to wisdom is knowing that God is wisdom. It is more than principles or rules that should be memorized; it is a Voice, a Power, a Holy Spirit that will come to you in your hour of need. It is the Word that is sent, the Lord Jesus Christ.
That is your ticket: knowing that wisdom is a He, not an it. So everyday, seek the wisdom of Jesus Christ. He will tell you how to do the things of God. He will poke your conscience and let you know when you are doing something wrong. He will give you witty inventions, incredible solutions, and he will give you simple answers to silence every doubt. You need not be a king to have Solomon’s understanding and clever ways. You need only commune with the Man from Galilee.
Run hard after the One who is Wisdom, and He will bless your life with honor and safety. When others around you get stuck in the same rut, He will show you how to avoid those traps. He will give you principles that others miss, and you will enjoy easy victory over trouble and trouble makers. Listen for Jesus, listen for His insight, and you will flourish when others fall on hard times. He will fill your mouth with praise and strength.
Too many of God’s children pray only to gain more things, but you – be wise and pray to gain more of Christ.
