You will feel good, very good, good enough to think about that man who is not your husband or that woman who is flirting with you. What is it!? That alcohol you just drank! It is tranquilizing your otherwise good behavior.
At first you will say, “I am different from others. I can handle this.” But what about the time when you have confidently eased from one glass to two, then to three, then to four? What about that “one too many” that pushes you over into delusion and deception — and that extra someone happens to there with you?
Don’t you know that fornication and alcohol go hand in hand? Why do you think alcohol is served when people want to get romantic? Why do you think so many have woke up in a stranger’s bed? Because alcohol put them in the mood! Alcohol caused them to forget the importance of their commitments and their moral standards! And now they really are paying for their fancy bottle!
Want to walk in victory? Want to have full ability in the Kingdom? Then stay in control of yourself at all times. Be sober, be watchful, be alert; and your disciplined life will keep you from the traps into which the foolish masses fall.
